I'm ending up with some files with the EXIF info indicating the "Camera Model" is "Canikon". Is anyone else encountering this?

My speculation is Canikon is a mix of Canon and Nikon when ExifTool is confused. Or not?

So far, I don't have a repeatable sequence that causes this to happen. Sorry. I thought I'd check first before digging into the issue. It happens rather erratically ... maybe every 5th or 10th shooting session. I think it's happened 3 or 4 times in the past month or so.

The workflow is complicated, because Dual-ISO and cr2hdr.exe from the MagicLantern firmware for Canon is involved. Also, Samyang manual lenses are involved. It appears that ExifTool is used twice. I've also submitted this question to MagicLantern, and the problem may be on that end.

I'm hoping/speculating that someone gets a "hit" on "Canikon" when using something like "grep".

ExifTool will not get "confused" like this.  It only reports whatever Model is stored in the file.

If you send me a sample I'll take a look and see if anything else looks funny. (philharvey66 at gmail.com)

The issue does seem to have been caused by MagicLantern. Sorry for the "false alarm".
