It seems that a security update I did on Friday (July 21,2017) broke the ability to send mail from the forum.  I've spent a while trying to figure out the problem, without success so far, so it may be a while before the forum email notifications are working again.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

The forum email notifications should be working again.  Whew.  That took longer than it should have.  I wasted about 5 hours on that one.

In the end, I had tried so many things that I don't know what fixed it. :(
