I would like to get rid of the "Invalid Metadata data" warning but I can't figure out how. I tried removing the "Device Model Desc" tag (since it appears close to the warning) but exiftool does not support writing this tag. I am usually able to correct metadata errors by opening such files in Photoshop and resaving them, but in this particular case it does not help.

I just discovered that if I remove the "ICC_Profile" tag the warning goes away. But obviously I don't want to impact image color. Is there a way to rewrite this tag, stripping the bad data in the process?

Hmm, it looks like the problem is the ICC profile itself. I am attaching the offending file for your review. Is there any way to clean it up?

Okay. I found a workaround:

* Open the file in Photoshop
* Edit -> Convert to Profile
* Pick the closest matching color profile -> OK
* Save the file

In my case, both the source and destination color spaces were sRGB and I see no visual differences. I hope this helps other people who run across this kind of warning.
