Because of problems with some files with ImageMagick, I try to change as much as possible to exiftool within my script.

With IM some things only work with miff, and not with tiff (don't know why and sometimes exif is kept, when stdout is used, sometimes not)

So I would ask, if you could include miff to the supported formats of exiftool someday? I know miff is not very well known, but for some lossless imagechanges it is the first choice.

There you go.  ExifTool (version 5.30 just released on my web page) now extracts information from PNG and MIFF files too.
