Hi since I'm new,
I know this isn't much of a intro
I downloaded the latest version from Sourceforge, its "Image-ExifTool-12.40.tar.gz" the Unix/Linux version.

VERSION: "12.40"

but the http://exiftool.sourceforge.net/ver.txt is VERSION: '12.38' and the http://exiftool.sourceforge.net/checksums.txt
Checksums are older? Shared Checksum? I just noticed a difference ...

HA1(Image-ExifTool-12.38.tar.gz)= (purposely not posted here)
SHA1(exiftool-12.38.zip)= (purposely not posted here)
SHA1(ExifTool-12.38.dmg)= (purposely not posted here)
MD5 (Image-ExifTool-12.38.tar.gz) = (purposely not posted here)
MD5 (exiftool-12.38.zip) = (purposely not posted here)
MD5 (ExifTool-12.38.dmg) = (purposely not posted here)

Is anyone going to Generate a new Checksum for the newest file downloads?

Thanks.

I'm not sure what happened, but this is fixed now.  These files should be updated automatically when I do a release, but somehow things got broken.  I've patched the scripts to try to solve this for future releases.
