Hi:

I have tried to add/changd the Orientation tag on a .BMP file and it tells me that it is not accepted.

.JPG and .TIF seem OK.

Where could I find a list of formats that Do-Dont?

Thanks

Hi Emilio,

That is not a simple list.  However, you can get an idea of the meta information formats supported by the various formats by following the links from the supported  file formats list on the ExifTool home page.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

Hi,

FWIW, .BMP is a rather simple file format with fixed metadata and I am pretty sure that it does not support orientation.
