I was testing a friend's new Nikon 16-80mm f/2.8-4 G VR lens the other day.
Loaded the images into IMatch, but IMatch does not recognize the lens.

It was suggested in the IMatch forum that I post an image from the lens here and so allow the lens type to be incorporated into future ExifTool-Version.

Hi Aubrey,

Thanks for this report.  What is the exact model name for this lens?  I find references to an "AF-S DX Nikkor 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR" -- is this the one?

Phil,
you have correctly named the lens. AF-S DX Nikkor 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR

Great, thanks.  This will be in the next release (version 10.12).

I am moving this post to the Metadata board in this forum.

Phil,
I added exiftool 10.12 to my IMatch folder. The identification of the lens within IMatch now works fine.
Thanks for the update in Exiftool.

Aubrey.
