Hi,
beginning with Model K-3 Pentax supports Pixel Shift images. Four captures are made directly one after the other and are written into one DNG container.
Under the right conditions we get unbelievable details and color accuracy in the digital developed image - using PDCU or RawTherapee. But sometimes there's too much movement in the scenery so that just going with the best of the four captures would be the right solution.
It would would be great if we could get a split of the DNG container into four separate real raw DNG files with capture number as postfix by using Exiftool.
Any chance to implement that?
P.s. I don't know another program that does it. I think only RawTherapee can do the separation but in best case we get Tiff 16 Bit files - no raw separation.
ExifTool doesn't have the mechanics necessary to restructure DNG images, so this feature would be difficult to add. Also, it really isn't a metadata thing, so it is sort of outside ExifTool's scope.

Thanks for your reply - was just an idea and it would have been a great feature ...
