Title: Lost oldest_datetime configfile, please add to the github config_files dir!
Post by: CorM on July 28, 2021, 11:02:14 AM
Hi Phil and Exiftool users

years ago (2017) I did not got the right date-time stamp for manipulating my images into a sequential directory structure.
with the help of some great ExifTool users (and Phil) they fixed me this config file which i lost during an upgrade (to 12.26) recently. (stupid of course, did not pay attention).

luckily I remembered this forum and voila:
https://exiftool.org/forum/index.php?topic=8541.0;last_msg=44014 (https://exiftool.org/forum/index.php?topic=8541.0;last_msg=44014)
there the topic still was preserved!
so i could recreate it (as attached now  8) )

So: @Phil, please add this file to the config_files dir to help others using this option, but moreover -> help me incase i forget to save it seperately it again in the future when updating this great tool!

Cheers, CorM.

SG Edit: Fixed link so it didn't attempt to post new message

Just about every topic is preserved.  I don't think there's anything set for deleting old topics here.

I've been indexing config files as I see them and one thing on my (very long) list of things to do is start going through all the old threads looking for gems to index.  Lots of good stuff saved here, the problem is just trying to find things again when you can't remember the exact keywords to use.
