Title: Photoshop layer rectangles in wrong order?
Post by: blue-j on July 26, 2022, 03:50:38 PM
In photoshop:layerrectangles, the coordinates listed are in y,x order.  Is this intended?  I expected x, y order.

See the ExifTool Photoshop Layers tag name documentation (https://exiftool.org/TagNames/Photoshop.html#Layers).

Aha!  Typically a bounding box is specified by two x,y coordinates - upper left corner and bottom right corner.  But it seems Adobe specifies rectangles differently!  Not (left x, top y) and (right x, bottom y) as I expected, but top, left, bottom, right?  Okie dokie.  Thank you, sensei.  - J
