Title: Topaz Video AI metadata
Post by: StarGeek on January 07, 2023, 12:28:46 PM
Topaz Video AI (https://www.topazlabs.com/topaz-video-ai) adds a tag called Keys:Videoai which holds info about how the video was processed.

I'm not sure if it really is worth adding write ability or not, as it seems it would be of limited use.  Just bringing it up so it's documented.

Example video attached.

Thanks, I'll add this.

BTW, Topaz Photo AI uses ExifTool.  I'm not sure about Video AI though.

I had some extra cash so I picked up the whole set. I haven't played with the image apps (denoise, sharpen, gigapixel) yet. Exiftool doesn't appear to be installed for those.

Once I got those three, they gave me Photo AI as well, but I didn't install it.  Doing so just now, I see exiftool is there for Photo AI only.

Video AI appears to be using ffmpeg/ffprobe.

Yes.  ExifTool isn't used in denoise, sharpen or gigapixel.  I had purchased denoise and sharpen myself.

It makes sense if they use ffmpeg for Video AI.
