Its a shame - there are a limited number of forums that I follow - DPR and ExifTool are my defaults.

A big advantage of DPR for those of us interested in metadata is the single source of SOOC image files from a wide range of cameras - I always go there when a new FujiFilm camera is released looking for new metadata tags (and new values for existing tags).

That was my first thought as well.  Though to be honest, a large number of the "SOOC" image had an Adobe Photoshop tag in them.  Something I found really annoying when I was looking for SOOC images.

Thats true - although I tend to pick up the RAWs rather than the jpegs so don't so much care

Was it dpreview that used to be in the UK but was bought by a company across the pond a few years ago?

Looks like it was Amazon
Amazon layoffs will shut down camera review site DPReview.com after 25 years (https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2023/03/amazon-layoffs-will-shut-down-camera-review-site-dpreview-com-after-25-years/)

The good news is
QuoteUpdate, 3/22/2023: Regardless of what Amazon plans to do with the site archive, the Internet Archive is "working to scrape over 4 million articles and posts" from DPReview and its forums between now and when the site closes. It will be available to view on the Internet Archive site and will be downloadable in Web ARChive (WARC) format for offline viewing.

I remember when they bought the site from Phil Askey - it didn't seem to make any business sense - but I was sure they knew better than me
