Post by: chipsdinosaur on May 15, 2023, 07:56:22 AM
Hi,

Can someone tell me what units/applications creates this metadata field?
[Microsoft]    Encoding Time

This is a .mp4 file I am told is created on a mobile unit, and I can't seem to reproduce the same metadata field on a mobile unit.

My output is:

No idea, though it is obviously some program created by Microsoft, as nobody else writes Microsoft tags.

If I recall correctly, at some point Windows included a simple video editor, though I can't find it on my system.

Edit: Ah, it was probably Windows Movie Maker (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Movie_Maker)
