Can anyone tell me, when doing batch processing, will ExifTool take advantage of the latest quad core processors with HT, or at least use all available cores.
When using ExifTool the thread count (shown in taskmanager) is equal to 1 (therefore the remaining cores sit idle)
The computer has two CPU's and 8 cores total (16 if you include the HT ones)

ExifTool is not multi-threaded. If you want to take advantage
of multiple processors, you must launch multiple copies of
exiftool.
