Hi to all list members,
I'm new on this forum so please be patient if I ask something that has been asked before.
I've searched the internet and this forum. Unfortunately to no avail.
I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5. When taking a picture I set the title.
I would now like to extract the title after downloading the pictures to my PC. Unfortunately ExifTool (or any other tool like IrfanView) doesn't display the title.
I opened the JPG using Notepad++ to check if the title is part of the file - it is.
What I want to know:
Is the title part of the Exif information? If yes, how can I access this information? If no, does anyone know a way to extract the title info?
Thanks for your attention!
Hi list members,
just noticed that a new version of the ExifTool was released today.
Downloaded and ran a test and - hurray - the title data is displayed as "Panasonic Title".
Thanks a lot for this great tool!!

Hallo,
I have the same problem, but with Lumix TZ8. The title is displated as "Panasonic 0x0065 : ABC[...]".
Panasonic Title in meta informations not exists.
If I try to modify tag Panasonic_0x0065 (exiftool -u -Panasonic:Panasonic_0x0065=New p.jpg) ExifTool (ver 8.28) return warning:
Warning: Tag 'Panasonic_0x0065' does not exist
Nothing to do.
Thanks for your attention!
This is a new location for the Panasonic title. If you could you either post a sample image or email it to philharvey66 at gmail.com I will give a name to this tag and add write support.
I have a TZ8 sample which doesn't have the title set so I can't tell what encoding is used. There are two other identical tags in my sample with ID's 0x0066 and 0x0067 -- are there other text fields that can be set in the camera? Copyright and owner name perhaps? If you could set all the text fields possible in the sample you send it would be great.
Thanks.

Thanks. I got the sample you sent.
I will add the ability to read/write these tags to the next version of exiftool.
