I poked around and noticed that Olympus.pm contains several Lumix lenses. Lumix is a Panasonic brand. Is there a reason to have them in Olympus.pm instead of Panasonic.pm?

Yes. These are the lens codes reported by Olympus cameras.

Both Olympus and Panasonic use the 4/3 lens mount, so the lenses are interchangeable.
