Title: Can't see geographic position.
Post by: User1038 on December 28, 2010, 06:20:36 AM
I'm really interested in getting geographic data from pictures. I've taken some random pictures with my mobile phone (Sony Ericsson W895). On my phone I can use the "Show on Map"-function and it works fine.
But when using the Exiftool on my mac I can't see any information that I can relate to position.
Using the -gps tag gives me no output. Is that information somehow lost when I copy the image from phone to computer? (MacBook)
What should I do?

So exiftool -a -gps:all FILE doesn't show the GPS information?

If not, it could be that the information is hidden somewhere.  In this case, if you could send a sample to me (philharvey66 at gmail.com) I will take a look to see if it can be extracted.
