Title: Weird GPS behavior
Post by: BigBlueBeast on January 07, 2011, 08:04:13 PM
After creating a HDR image with Photomatix I tweak it a bit then run the following to put back the missing metadata:

exiftool -tagsfromfile "C:\My Pictures\2011\January\01-04, Tue\%19f.jpg" -ALL:All -makernotes -overwrite_original -m -ext jpg "."

Nows here is the interesting part, when I publish it with Jalbum,  Chameleon skin it no longer reads the Lat/Long values till I reseed them using Geosetter synch with my NMEA logs.

Attached are data exports from bad test image and working image along with summary of differences.

I am suspecting the original GPS data inserted by Downloader Pro is culprit but thought would get your take on this.

Hi Dave,

The obvious thing I see is that the GPSVersionID is wrong in the "test" version of the output.

I suppose that this could cause some software to barf.

Saw that also but was not sure, think will bug it with the Breeze software folks as was there software did the initial GPS insertion to the file.

Thanks
