Title: ExifTool problem running on Windows
Post by: sidezr on April 27, 2011, 11:47:35 PM
Hello,

I downloaded exiftool-8.56.zip and followed the instructions to unpack the file and when trying to run exiftool.exe I get this error message on the command console:

Missing right curly or square bracket at script/exiftool line 1004, at end of line
syntax error at script/exiftool line 1004, at EOF

Anyone knows what may be the problem?

Thanks for any help. I'm new to the use of this tool,

Sid.

OS: Windows 7 64bits Home Edition.

There was a problem during the self-extraction of files the first time exiftool was run.  Follow the uninstall instructions for the Windows executable (https://exiftool.org/install.html#Windows) then try again.
