Title: Edited photos
Post by: surfer on May 25, 2011, 01:38:34 PM
Hi,

It seems that if a photo is re-saved lens data is lost. Is this the case for all standard photo apps such as photoshop, iphoto, aperture, lightroom etc.?
Is it because lens data is encrypted?

Thanks!

I noticed that when a RAW image is saved as JPEG I get data in the "Lens" tag but nothing in the "LensID" tag.
Does lightroom partially save the lens data then?

Adobe products are particularly bad at preserving this type of information because they all discard the maker notes when an image is resaved.
