Greetings.
I'm a new member of the Forum, but a long-time ExifToolGUI user.
I'm a retired telecommunication engineer, most recently in private consulting practice. We live in Weatherford, Texas, about 25 miles west of Fort Worth.
I'm an avid amateur photographer. Much of my work is at "events", many relating to civic and social organizations my wife, Carla, is active in.
I'm active in a number of photography forums, notably Open Photography Forums.
I write a lot of technical articles, many of them in the area of photography and related technology. You can find them here at my technical information site, The Pumpkin:

I'm especially interested in IPTC metadata (of both the IIM and XMP flavors), in part because I often submit my work to newspapers and other publications.
I'm looking forward to interacting with my fellow ExifGUI users. We are fortunate to have the wonderful synergy between ExifTool and ExifToolGUI, and between their wonderful developers, Phil and Bogdan.
Best regards,
Doug Kerr
Hi Doug,
Welcome! It is great to have someone with your background joining the forum. I see you're a P.E. My father was a P.E. and I'm an engineer by training too (M.Sc. Eng.), but got stuck in academia so I never became a P.E. myself.
