ExifTool defines a number BestShot, which was used by the camera Casio.
Two months ago, Casio Talk Forum dpreview.

Phil Harvey thank you and a colleague Bogdan Hrastnik for your work.
Explain whether the program does not display a digital number and the name of the plant immediately BEST SHOT Scene Settings?

It seems that you are suggesting I decode the Casio BestShot models differently for each model.  This is a bit of work, but can be done if the numbers given by your search.casio-intl.com reference are the same as the numbers stored in the maker notes.  Have you checked this for your camera?  If so, I am willing to do the work necessary to add this for all of the models I can find.

Phil, you're absolutely right I understand. Of course, I apologize for my English as to write using Google translator.
Even my very modest knowledge of the language suggest that the translation is obtained sometimes very awkward.

I will try to formulate shortly and to answer all questions.
1. Yes I check up conformity on which chamber I own CASIO EXILIM Zoom EX-Z2000

landscape -5
Children-7
Sports-8
Streams of water-15
Non coincided with the table BEST SHOT Scene Settings for my model.
http://support.casio.com/download_files/001/faq_pdf/Z2000/EXZ2000_BS_US_a.pdf

2. I do not think that it is necessary to do it for all models. There is enough models 2010-2011.
3. I don't know, how the manufacturer of chambers CASIO will concern it. I don't have with them any mutual relations.
4. It seems to me, it will make the program even more useful to owners of chambers CASIO and they is simple to you will be grateful.
5. It can serve as the beginning for definition of the built in plots and for chambers of other manufacturers. Processors of chambers all become more powerful also automatics more and more made.
6. I can assume that the manufacturer doesn't guess possible utility of reading of name BestShot at viewing of pictures on the chamber.
7. If you get to realize the program reading the name BestShot.
Your program will be the first in this endeavor, and probably only because few people paid attention to me noticed by number.
8. It is ready to assist in search of the necessary information and to give pictures executed EXILIM Zoom EX-Z2000

Downloading all of the PDF files is a lot of work.  I will do this for the EX-Z2000, but for now I will only decode BestShot for this and the models listed here (http://search.casio-intl.com/search?q=BEST+SHOT+sets+up+the+camera+CASIO+EX+ZR100+BEST+SHOT&btnG=Search&output=xml_no_dtd&oe=UTF-8&ie=UTF-8&site=casio-intl_com&client=search_casio-intl_com&proxystylesheet=search_casio-intl_com).

Thanks for the suggestion.

OK.  I have entered in the BestShotMode values for all of the models which listed the numbers for these modes on their web pages.  See this page for the new decoding. (http://owl.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/tmp/Casio.html#Type2)

I have typed in the modes for the EX.S10, EX-S880, EX-Z9, EX-Z80, EX-Z100/Z200, EX-Z1200, EX-Z2000.

If anyone can find documentation for any more models and will enter the numbers and mode names, I will add this to exiftool.  Just send me an email with the modes listed like this:

1 Auto
2 Portrait
3 Scenery
4 Portrait with Scenery
...

Thanks to anyone who can help with this.  My email is philharvey66 at gmail.com

- Phil

Edit:  The online Casio documentation for some models doesn't give a number for each mode.  I don't think it is safe to assume that the modes are sequential, so I have not entered in the data for these models.  I don't want to make any false assumptions, so please send me an email only if your source lists the numbers or you can verify with sample images that at least some of the numbers are correct.  Thanks again.

What would be more aware of the situation with the development of BEST SHOT today.
It will be interesting to know that the camera QV-4000, had their 5 and 100 units on the accompanying CD.

While the camera is claimed to be the semi-professional.
The task to find out at what ISO settings were performed using the program ExifTool.
As a hint, you can use KUSO Exif Viewer 3.0

Thanks.  I will add your EX-G1 information.

Wow, the QV-4000 has a log of BestShot modes!  Just for fun, I will do the work to enter these too.

I don't know what you think ExifTool is missing from the P600 images.  ExifTool does decode ISO and AutoISO for this camera.

- Phil

Edit:  The QV-4000 modes are not that simple.  There are only a few built-in modes, and the rest are from a CD-ROM.  I don't know how the CD-ROM modes map into numbers in the camera, so I can't decode these without samples.

Hi Phil
Phil I Newbie in using the program.
And use it as described here
https://exiftool.org/forum/index.php/topic,3713.0.html
Maybe I'm not paying attention or not there expect to see the value of ISO.
I can not.
Explain how to do it correctly. If this is possible without using the command line.
Perhaps this question is more about the shell program Bogdan
The ISO value is displayed only when the ALL.

I see.  Yes, the P600 doesn't write the standard EXIF ISO.  Unfortunately it only writes this information in the makernotes (Casio) section.

I see a value of "Unknown (2)" for AFMode in your image.  Please let me know if you can determine the meaning of any unknown values like this.

Casio Exilim EX-P600
First time in the Casio uses a hybrid system Focus: Autofocus is possible only in contrast to the image, as well as a range finder, which can be a hybrid auto focus is used as a range finder and image contrast.
http://www.ixbt.com/digimage/casiop600.shtml

In view: The Hybrid Auto Focus System automatically selects the matching Auto Focus settings. Depending on the environment, the Phase Difference Sensor AF or the Contrast AF is used. In this way you receive the optimal combination of high speed focus and high precision focus in every situation. You no longer have to make settings manually- and also save time as a result.

Phil, I answer correctly understood your question about AFMode?
The program has a line KUSO AFPointPosition: 38% 50%
I do not know whether this is related to AFMode?

The next two days I'll be busy, or I can respond with a delay.
Please ask what you're interested in more detail.
Composing short sentences.
If possible, I'll tell you.
with respect Sergei.

Hi Sergei,

This is the decoding I currently have for AFMode:

0 Off
1 On
4 Face Recognition

I would like to know how to decode values 2, 3 and 5 (all of which I have seen in various sample images).  This can be determined by taking a picture in each focus mode if you own a Casio camera.

Hi  Phil
Take pictures to be necessary in the Specifying the Auto Focus Area (AF Area)

1.Intelligent   The camera automatically determines the focus point on the screen and focuses there (intelligent AF).
decoded value- AFMode   Unknown(5)

2.Spot   This mode takes readings of a small area in the center of the image.
This setting works well with focus lock
decoded value- AFMode   ON

3.Multi   When you half-press the shutter button while this setting selected, the camera will select the optimum Auto Focus area from among nine possible areas. The focus frame of the area where the camera focuses will be displayed in green.
decoded value- AFMode   Unknown (2)

4.Tracking   When you half-press the shutter button while this setting is selected, the focus frame will follow the movement of the subject.
decoded value- AFMode   Face Recognition

5."On" Face Detection
decoded value- AFMode   Unknown (3)

I'm sorry, but I don't understand.  The ImageStabilization tag should tell you what type of stabilization was used for the FC100.

Hi Phil
ImageStabilization tag is a separate issue.
I can only check on his cell CASIO EXILIM Zoom EX-Z2000

Image Stabilization Mechanism in almost all cameras Casio - CCD-shift image stabilization.

Installation of the stabilizer in the camera menu EX-Z2000 allows you to select.
The name of the menu in English and (Russian)
1.Anti Shake : Auto  (Авто)
2.Anti Shake : Camera AS(Оптический стабилизатор)
3.Anti Shake : Image AS(Движение объекта съёмки)
4.Anti Shake : Off (Выкл)

Showing results in programs KUSO EXIF Viewer and ExifToolGUI

1.ImageStabilization: Unknown (0 3) or (2 3)             ImageStabilization:CCD Shift  or Higt Speed Anti Shake
2.ImageStabilization: Unknown (0 3)                          ImageStabilization: CCD Shift
3. ImageStabilization: Unknown (2 1)                         ImageStabilization: Unknown (2 1)
4. ImageStabilization: Unknown (0 1)                         ImageStabilization: Unknown (0 1)

OK, how about this?:

    '0 1' => 'Off (1)',
    '0 3' => 'CCD Shift',
    '2 1' => 'High Sensitivity',
    '2 3' => 'CCD Shift + High Sensitivity',

I added the '(1)' to 'Off' because '0 0' is 'Off' for other cameras, and it is best if the values are unique.
