I've been wrecking my head for a while now, trying to delete a tag found in Nikon D7000 NEFs.
The tag is found in section Nikon, so I reckon belongs to the MakerNotes --> hence is not writable.
I've been trying to make it writable but have failed in doing so. Can you point me at a way to make this specific tag writable?
FYI I've attached the extracted metadata of a D7000 NEF, with ID's
Tag has ID 188, and currently is called Nikon 0x00bc.

Makernote tags are writable, but not deletable. However, the specific tag you mention is unknown so it can't be written. Please let me know if you have any information about this tag.
You can create a user-defined tag if you need to write this yourself.
