Hi, I recently had the unfortunate displeasure of having my NEF files corrupted by Nikon. Thanks to this brilliant little program, I was able to correct most of the damage done. However, all of the photos that I took in Live View mode on my D600 create the following: "Error: Only uncropped images are currently supported for the D600." I haven't cropped the images but I notice that those corrupted files taken in live view are 1920x1080 (as opposed to 1632x1080). I am wondering if there is a solution to be had.
cheers,
Kris
Hi Kris,
If you send me an uncorrupted and a corrupted sample, I should be able to add support for these. My email is philharvey66 at gmail.com
I don't understand the sizes you quoted though. The FX size for the D600 is 6080x4028, and the DX size is 3968x2636.

I've sent you an email - thanks.
The image sizes I was referring to are for the corrupted images only. The FX size for D600 is actually 6016 × 4016.
I do now see that I had "movie" selected for live view, which gives an FX size image of 6016 x 3376, and that is obviously why the program thought the images were crops.
Thanks, I got the samples. I'll post back here when I've updated the utility (maybe as early as tomorrow).
From this image metadata I get this:
Crop Hi Speed : On (6080x4028 cropped to 6080x3388 at pixel 0,320)
So it is a cropped FX image. These dimensions are the size of the raw data, not the size of a generated JPEG.

I've just released fix_corrupted_nef (https://exiftool.org/fix_corrupted_nef.html) version 1.9, which should handle these images.

;D thank you ;D
