I just had a look at a RAW shot with the new Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 VC USD on Canon.
In the makernotes I read the following:
Lens Model TAMRON SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD A011
Lens Type Canon EF 90-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM
Something is confusing here.
The RAW file is here: http://daten-transport.de/download.php?id=UtDH4GZVLN2x&dateinummer=265139
Thanks!
Confusing? Isn't this just another Tamron Lens that is re-purposing one of the Canon LensType values? This is normal.
It will appear in the next release.
