Title: -fast for video/audio files ?
Post by: kapouer on January 29, 2016, 04:15:32 AM
Hi,

it would make even more sense than for images.
Currently i'm just giving the first couple of hundred kilobytes to exiftool,
but a -fast option is obviously safer.

Thanks for considering !

N.B.
i opened a ticket before i figured there was more activity in the forums, sorry for that.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I'll think about this when I get a chance.

Just closing this topic.  Unfortunately metadata is stored at the end of many videos, so a -fast option here wouldn't have any effect.
