Hi to All!
First of all, a big thank you to Phil Harvey and all contributors for making such an excellent tool.
I would like to announce the first (beta) release of a free photo and video library manager that uses ExifTool to extract and write metadata. It is written in Java (JavaFX) and makes extensive use of metadata to organize and browse your library. It's free and sources are available on the website.
You can manage title, comment, orientation, rating, GPS location (including from map or GPX file), creation date, keywords and address.
Note: videos must use either the MP4 container format with H.264/AVC video and AAC audio compression or the FLV container format with VP6 video and MP3 audio compression (this is a JavaFX restriction).
More information (including download) here: http://ronmevissen.com/FreezeFrame (http://ronmevissen.com/FreezeFrame)
Comments and feedback is more than welcome,
Cheers,
Ron
Hi Ron,
Thanks for the post. I've added a link to this from the ExifTool home page (https://exiftool.org/index.html#related_multi).

Hi Ron,
I've installed and begun to tinker around.
This is a nice start and I'm happy to use a platform agnostic product.
One thing I noticed is that when importing files into the Freeze Frame library, I can import JPEGs without any problem, but importing RAW files (I use NEF and ARW), does not seem to work. The program doesn't recognize them so the files are greyed out (see attached screenshot).
As I said before, JPEGs work perfectly, so this might just be the result of early stage design and you'll get to it eventually.
So far, great work. Do you have a seperate place where I can post feedback, etc. instead of using Phil's message boards?
Thanks again for a cool product (and thanks Phil for Exiftool!)
Best, Devin
