Hi Phil,
I can not find those basic Tags in Exiftool.
When you set up my GX-8 to shooting RAW&Jpeg
and Image-Format for example to 3:2 instead of native 4:3 ..
then those Tags get the coordinates of the selected ImageFormat within the full Sensor size
Dump of my Softwares output:
@1B2 [No.34] Tag 0x002F SHORT × 1 JpgCropTop 492
@1BE [No.35] Tag 0x0030 SHORT × 1 JpgCropLeft 8
@1CA [No.36] Tag 0x0031 SHORT × 1 JpgCropBottom 3412
@1D6 [No.37] Tag 0x0032 SHORT × 1 JpgCropRight 5192
by the way:
It's interesting for me because it shows that Panasonic doesn't use the better quality center part of the Image where distortion-correction is much lower than in extreme corners.
This way I'm not satisfied with those disharmonic Jpegs.
Someone who likes 3:2 should always keep 4:3 shooting and manually crop _centered_ to 3:2 later.
Greetings from Germany
Klaus
Hi Klaus,
These tags are found, and decoded by ExifTool, from IFD0 of Panasonic RW2 images. They aren't found in JPEG images.
