Title: Panasonic Makernotes 0x8003
Post by: Klaus_Homeister on August 11, 2018, 06:54:53 PM
Hi Phil,

in GX-8 manual chapter 5 "Focus and Brightness Setting" is explained:
'The focus indication is displayed as [Low] in dark environment. Focusing may take longer than usual!'

This is represented in Tag 0x8003. only when this 'Low' was displayed while focusing until the marker turns to solid green when finished, the value is '2'. Otherwise it's always '1'.

'DarkEnvironment'  2=Yes 1=No

Greetings from Germany
Klaus

Hi Phil,

and the same way it is with 0x8002.

When the preview after shot triggers the Highlight-Blinking on cameras LCD...
Then the value is '2'.
otherwise always '1'

HighlightWarning 1='NO' 2='YES'

Only very old DMC-G1 can have a '0' when Highlightwarning was disabled in Menu.

Thanks!  I'll add these as DarkFocusEnvironment and HighlightWarning.
