Title: Copy LR edits from one XMP file to another?
Post by: RobiWan on September 27, 2018, 04:51:01 PM
Hi guys,

I made a mistake and need help urgently. Is there an easy way to copy the edits I made with LR from one XMP file to another?

The basic command would be
exiftool -TagsFromFile Source.xmp -Tags Destination.xmp

The problem is figuring out what tags need to be copied.  That part I don't know.

You can run exiftool against the xmp file and take a look at it to see what tags might be likely to contain the data you want to copy.

Thanks, I think all is perfect. I will check it with some files.

exiftool -tagsfromfile pict0868.xmp.lr -XMP-crs:all pict0868.xmp
