Hi,
I'm using a Panasonic GX-9 with a non-electronic lens and ExifTool is showing a "Lens Attached" tag with a value of "No". I'm not absolutely certain, but I suspect this may be causing Affinity Photo to ignore the lens data that I'm writing to the images with ExifTool.
I previously used a GX-7 and this tag does not appear in similar images taken with it. I've since sold the GX-7 but there was a specific menu setting when using non-electronic lenses. As far as I can see this isn't present in the GX-9's menus, the camera just works with any lens.
So my question is: is there any way of removing the "Lens Attached" tag from the GX-9 images? I don't know if will achieve what I want, but I'd like to give it a try if I can.
Thanks!
Did you try this?:
exiftool -lensattached=yes FILE
If this doesn't work, send me a sample and I'll take a look (philharvey66 at gmail.com)

Thanks Phil, unfortunately I'm getting the following:
Warning: Sorry, lensattached is not writable
Nothing to do.
I'll email you an image.
Best,
H
Hmmm. But the documentation shows this as writable. I'll have to look into this...

Thanks Phil!

It turns out that these aren't writable for a reason. It will be a fair bit of work to support writing of the PanasonicRaw CameraIFD directory because it doesn't follow the TIFF specification in a couple of different ways.
For now, I have updated the CameraIFD Tags documentation (https://exiftool.org/TagNames/PanasonicRaw.html#CameraIFD) to reflect the fact that they aren't writable, but I'll see what I can do about adding this ability.

Thanks Phil, it would be great if you could, but it's not a huge priority for me.
Best,
H
