Title: Exiftool identifying keynote files as Apple pages when there's no extension
Post by: arizec on May 03, 2021, 01:18:07 AM
Hi! So file below (key.key) is correctly identified as a keynote file.

However when I strip the name, i.e change key.key to insertnamehere. If I do exiftool insertnamehere, it identifies the file as an Apple pages file.

Due to how our backend works, we strip the name for security reasons. Is it possible upgrade exiftool to identify a keynote file without the name?

Btw for keynote files generated by iCloud it works as intended, this only happens to keynote files generated from the app itself

I'll take a look, but I can't guarantee that I'll be able to do this.  I haven't found a really solid magic number that can be used for a reliable identification of these files.
