Title: Problem with JP2 metadata
Post by: tiagoinacio on March 03, 2022, 06:16:00 AM
Hello,

We are in trouble putting the resolution metadata on the JPEG 2000 (JP2) files

Already experienced -XRESOLUTION = 300 -YRESOLUTION = 300, the DisplayYresolution = 300 displayXresolution = 300 but none gives.

Can you help?

Thanks
Kind Regards

As exiftool will write EXIF:XResolution and EXIF:YResolution to a JP2 file without issue, the problem is probably that you're using some other program which is not reading this data.  It is possible that metadata support in your other program simply doesn't exist.

If you have a JP2 file that has the correct resolution, then run the command in FAQ #3 (https://exiftool.org/faq.html#Q3) in order to figure out the location of the data.
