I'm well out of my depth here but needs must so here goes:
1. I've shot some great time lapse video of my new house construction using an Insta 360 OneX2 camera in 150 degree FOV which produces an MP4 output files.
2. Unfortunately some of the larger files have bad fisheye distortion & I think this is because the file metadata is missing (probably because the camera was not shut off correctly).
3. I can read the metadata using Exiftool and clearly see differences between the good files & bad.
4. The insta360 studio app opens the bad files but does not recognise the camera type & does not offer the fisheye removal that it does fine with the good files.
5. I hope to copy some of the tags from good files to bad & then be able to remove the fisheye distortion.
6. However, I don't know how to do that & would appreciate any advice.

It's hard to tell without knowing the tag names, not descriptions and the groups they belong to. See FAQ #2 (https://exiftool.org/faq.html#Q2) and use the command in FAQ #3 (https://exiftool.org/faq.html#Q3). For the second file, you could add the -api LargeFileSupport option (https://exiftool.org/ExifTool.html#LargeFileSupport) to get the full file processed.
But the odds are the metadata need to be changed could be non-standard and proprietary. If that is the case, then nothing could be done.
