Like Schultze, on Hogans Heroes, "I KNOW NOTHING." I landed here trying to find something that will remove exif data in pictures and videos. I am a WINDOWS user and downloaded exifcleaner 3.60x86.64.rpm. I am definitely in over my head and need to know what to open the file with. Am I on the right track and can you help me?
Thank you very much for any assistance or direction you may offer.

Exifcleaner is a different program. If you need support for that, you will have to look for another forum.

For the most part, exiftool is a command line program and doesn't have a built-in GUI. You can read Getting started: Command-line ExifTool in Windows (https://exiftool.org/forum/index.php?topic=4888.0) to get some basics.
But the command that Phil gave can also be used to make a drag/drop icon. Drag exiftool onto your desktop and rename it to
exiftool(-All= -k).exeYou can then drag files onto the exiftool icon to strip away metadata.
You might also look at jExifToolGUI (https://exiftool.org/forum/index.php?topic=11355.0) which provides a Java based GUI for exiftool.
Finally, Windows does have a built-in option for removing metadata. If you right click->Properties->Details Tab, at the very bottom of the properties window is "Remove Properties and Personal Information"
