Hello!

Please help me copy EXIF:MakerNoteSony from MakerNote.bin(binar data 2036 bytes)

to jpeg file (DSC00988.JPG)

I tried to use this command line

exiftool -b  -EXIF:MakerNoteSony=.\MakerNote.bin DSC00988.JPG

but that doesn't help.

This works for any maker notes that are writable.  Unfortunately though,
I have not yet added the ability to write Sony maker notes due to
complications from the fact that Sony encrypts information in their
maker notes.  I guess in theory I could allow writing as a block, but
right now the way ExifTool is written the two abilities are linked.

I will look into this though.

I'll wait impatiently for new version.

PS

I copied EXIF:MakerNoteSony from original CDSC00988.JPG to DSC00988.JPG(edited by me with Potoshop)

but in CDSC00988.JPG sizeof EXIF:MakerNoteSony is 2036 bytes - in DSC00988.JPG 2034 bytes,

that info gives me  Opanda PowerExif 1.2 Professional Trial

there are anything that can help me to copy this tag??
