I am on a mac OSX 10.4.10 and I have an external hard drive with 750 tiff images that were scanned from prints. Can someone help me with in writing the command line to change the dates in ALL of the files to read 1960/01/01 . currently my LR software reads the files as a 2006 date and I cannot figure out how to change this.

So far I installed ExifTool and assume that you run it from terminal.....That is all that I know how to do.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Try this:

Code:
exiftool "-alldates=1960:01:01 00:00:00" -r DIR

This will recursively set the DateTimeOriginal, CreateDate and ModifyDate
tags to the specified date for all writable file formats in DIR.
With any luck, LR is using one of these tags.  If you want to limit this
to only TIFF files, add "-ext TIF" or "-ext TIFF"
(or both) to the command, depending on which extension(s) you
use.
