I have a Canon 350D which does not write valid information to the LensType field. I know the (numeric) value I need, so I'm trying a command like the following:
ExifTool -LensType=235 image.jpg

This finds the file, but reports '0 files updated' without any other error message. What am I doing wrong?

This is FAQ
number 6. You need to use the -n option if you want to set
the numerical value for this tag.
