Hi,

The new 2008 DC specification (http://dublincore.org/documents/dcmi-terms/) has replaced all dc: tags by corresponding dcterms tags (e.g. dc:creator becomes dcterms:creator), while the legacy versions are of course still usable. Are there any plans to include this new dcterms namespace in later versions of Exiftool?
Thanks!

Thanks for pointing this out.  ExifTool will support this if it
the new tags are assumed by XMP.  Unforunately, in the past
Adobe has been very slow to update their XMP specification,
so I have relied on looking to other applications to see what
has been implemented.  Do you know of any applications
that are using this new scheme in XMP?

Oh, of course... it has to be implemented in XMP first. I just asked about it on the Adobe boards... Let's see whether someone will answer.

I've seen the new scheme mainly in HTML pages on the Web. No applications that I know of... I just thought since I am building a small app to write XMP primarily to my PDF collection I should use the new standard if possible. Then again, a later conversion e.g. from all dc:date fields to dcterms:issued (or something similar) should not prove to be too difficult.
