Title: Bad IFD or truncated file in IFD1

I encountered a problem when I tried to edit the metadata of a few files sent to me.
These are in TIFF-format.

The error message reads: Bad IFD or truncated file in IFD1

It seems to be a problem with the keywords tag, because it doesn't change when I try to rewrite it.
I have tried the -all= option, but with no success.

Thoughts?

This is what I get:

root# exiftool filename.tif -all=

Error: Bad IFD or truncated file in IFD1 - filename.tif

    0 image files updated

1 files weren't updated due to errors

root# exiftool filename.tif -ifd0

Warning: Bad IPTC data tag (marker 0x6e) - filename.tif
