I have managed to cross compile microperl so that i can make exiftool work in my ATMEL AT91SAM9260 platform.
I have downloaded and extracted the contents of the file Image-Exiftool-7.36.tar.gz and navigated to that directory.
Now exiftool works with microperl but it is not able to retrieve the image exif information.When i type ./exiftool /image.jpg to get the exif information of the image in the /(root) directory,exiftool throws a below error message.
"'X' outside of string in unpack at lib/Image/Exiftool.pm line 2335,EXIFTOOL_FILE chunk 2". I dont know where i am going wrong....
Please suggest me how to overcome this error.....Is this error because of some missing perl modules ?

It sounds like it is running, but something is obviously going
wrong. Try this command on the Writer.jpg then the ExifTool.jpg
files in the t/images directory of the distribution. Also try using
the -v3 option to see if you get any more details about where
it fails.
