I've been trying to use the script here http://highearthorbit.com/289/ along with ExifTool to export my iPhoto tags so I can import my photos to Lightroom.

I initially thought the issue was with the script but it actually seems to be with ExifTools. I am using exiflist to inspect the result of the operation. See the examples below...

Execute: exiftool -keywords='aa' -keywords='bb' -keywords='cc' -keywords='dd' image.jpg

Result: Keywords: aa; bb; Demo; Demo

Execute: exiftool -sep ", " -keywords="aa, bb, cc, dd" DSC02117.JPG

Result: Keywords: aa; bb; Demo; Demo

With more keywords it has more eccentric behaviour...

Execute: exiftool -sep ", " -keywords="aa, bb, cc, dd, ee, ff, gg, hh, ii, jj, kk, ll, mm, nn, oo" image.jpg

Result: Keywords: aa; bb; Demo; Demo; Demo; Demo; Demo; Demo; Demo;DDemoDemoDemoDemoDemoDemoDemoDemoD

Any ideas on how to work around this please let me know.

Thanks

An easy way to tell if it is exiftool is to execute the exiftool
command from the command line.

But I can tell you that exiftool is not the culprit.

Where are you getting the "Result" from?  Try using exiftool
at the command line to extract the keywords you wrote.
