Title: f-Values smaller than 1 not accepted
Post by: czettler on June 24, 2012, 03:07:27 PM
Hi

I've tried to add the lens information from my "Voigtländer Nokton 25mm f/0.95" into Olympus-RAW-Files with following command:

exiftool -P -overwrite_original -FocalLength=25 -MaxApertureValue=0.95 -Lens="Voigtlander 25mm f/0.95" /ORF

Focal lenght and Lens name worked well, but MaxApertureValue reported "Must be a positive number for ExifIFD" and no value was set.

Is it possible to write the 0.95 value in, or is it limited by EXIF-Definition ?

Thank You and with Best Regards

Chris

Hi Chris,

Unfortunately, this is an EXIF limitation (see point number 7) (https://exiftool.org/standards.html#EXIF).
