Title: How to select a photo by drag&drop and not by directory navigation?
Post by: pstein on March 18, 2016, 02:40:54 AM
As far as I can see the user has to navigate in the left pane of ExifToolGUI to the directory in focus, then click in the middle pane onto the target photo to view the corresponding EXIF data on the right pane.

Is there no way to drag&drop an arbitrary from WindowsExplorer onto the e.g.right pane to view the EXIF data immediately without navigation?

I have never tried this before, but dropping an image to the preview pane works fine for me on Windows 7/64.

Adding ExifToolGUI to the "Open with" menu for images is the way I am actually using.

Have a nice day!
