Title: Where does (current) Apple Photos write image captions?
Post by: joakimk on January 06, 2018, 04:44:20 AM
Does anyone know where the current version of Apple Photos (or whatever replaced iPhoto) actually stores captions, in the JPEG metadata?
iPhoto used the IPTC Caption/Abstract, but this doesn't seem to work for the new software.

Hi Joakimk,

Try using Photo to write a caption, then use "exiftool -a -G1" on the file to see where it went.
