CompositeImage from an iPhone 11 Pro Max

In the metadata from an iPhone 11 Pro Max back triple camera 4.25mm f/1.8 I see the following:

CompositeImage   Composite Image Captured While Shooting
CompositeImageCount   6 0

Is this related to the "deep fusion" feature that Apple introduced?  Any further understanding of these CompositeImage EXIF items would be appreciated.
