How to copy complete metadata info from a Canon CRM file to and MP4 file

And im looking to understand how to copy it all to an mp4 file, ive triedto use this command line - exiftool -api largefilesupport=1 -tagsfromfile srcfile.crm "-all:all>all:all" targetfile.mp4

and it does copy some of it but not all of it, any ideas?

Basically, when writing to a video file you are limited to writing QuickTime and XMP tags.  ExifTool can not create any other type of tags in these files.  See the list of supported files for details.

You could translate any EXIF tags into the corresponding XMP tags by using the EXIF2XMP.args file.

Save the file from that link into the same directory as exiftool and then you could run
exiftool -tagsfromfile srcfile.crm -@ exif2xmp.args targetfile.mp4
