adding XMP-album:Notes?

Photoshop Elements 4.0 apparently stores information entered in its notes field in the XMP directory in a tag called Notes. When this tag occurs in a -v listing, it is preceeded by the line "[adding XMP-album:Notes]". What does that mean?  Thanks, Drew
