Corrupted Nikon D700 NEF files

I would never trust Nikon software to download my raw files.  It has corrupted more raw files than any other software I know.

Instead, just drag them from your flash drive yourself.

Nikon will be of no help to you. They won't even help with files that their own software has corrupted.

I really thought the Apple utility was using the raw data.  I tried developing the NEF using dcraw, which definitely accesses the raw data, and the output image looked fine.  But I also tried with Adobe LR4, and it reported an error with the image.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

Well, not very encouraging to hear that about Nikon people, but I believe what you said and I will stop using their software and drag files as you suggest !!!
I asked for help before I turned to you, and it is true that they were not that cooperative.
I don't want to take any more chance and gamble with that.

Thanks Phil.

I keep you informed anyway.
