Greetings,

We're creating movies that are very similar with only minor differences.  Are their *Any* suggestions about making comment notes and having those tagged into the Apple compatible mov files?   All my test fail ... I even tried to use the existing "Handler Description" field to make comments there - but that field is not writable.  Any suggestions welcomed.

Thanks,

Richard

Hi Richard,

If you are using ExifTool to write the metadata, the appropriate tag would be XMP-dc:Description, but I can't say whether or not your movie players will recognize this.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

Thanks Phil,

No ... we don't care about the movie player recognizing this ... Just wanted to use exiftool to see the comment and edit the comment.

BTW ... quick reply !!!!   :) :)

That works great !!!

thanks,

Richard
